I might have just bought a new bag.

Let’s talk about my newest bag.
I’ve been thinking, if I’m finally going to have a store and not just operate by word of mouth through the salon, it’s time to get a bag to carry my computer and essentials. Of course, I already have my trusty backpack for when I’m out of town at our house in New Orleans. It’s a Hermès Her bag backpack—absolutely love it
Not the most accessible bag for getting things in and out, but it looks fantastic and I get constant compliments on it.
The Hermes Her Bag first introduced in the 1970's as a new option other than the Hermes Kelly, unlike most Hermès bags its made of leather and canvas. Made in multiple sizes 31,39,50, and 52. Mine being the 39.
When it came to deciding on a briefcase for my laptop, I searched through them all. I didn’t want to spend a fortune at the moment, but I found the most amazing Louis Vuitton—vintage, of course. You know vintage is my favorite. I love when bags have a bit of history, a bit of character. They don’t look brand new, and that’s what I like. It feels like I’ve had it for years.
The bag I chose is the Louis Vuitton Porte-Documents Bandoulière 2-Way.
“Bandoulière” means “with strap” in French. It’s called the 2-Way because the strap is removable. You can carry it by the handle alone or add the strap to sling it over your shoulder.
I love the classic look of Louis Vuitton. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the nostalgia it brings will always make it a top favorite of mine.
My first bag was a Monogram Louis Vuitton Keepall 60. I’ll never let that one go—it just makes me happy.
I appreciate the professionalism of the handle and the ease of the strap. Plus, the brass clasp always gives it a perfect finish.
This bag comes in either the classic canvas monogram or Epi leather. (I’ll be writing about the types of leathers soon for each designer.)
It has multiple compartments, making it perfect for a notebook and laptop as well.
Since this is the newest addition to my collection, I have a few other bags that could have held my laptop and things, but who doesn’t love an excuse to buy a new one, right? Hahaha.
We’ll definitely be revisiting this bag to see how it holds up and its functionality over time!
